Protecting Your Privacy

iCompLii is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information.
Our aim is to offer you one place to store all of the personal information, qualifications and certificates you need to get onsite and start work without delay. All the paperwork a site foreman, supervisor or employer needs from you before you start should be available as soon as you login. This saves you having to carry it around in hardcopy.
For this system to work the way it is intended, it is really important to us that you feel confident in how iCompLii handles your personal information, and that information remains protected and secure.
Personal information is any information that identifies a person, or from which a person can be identified. If you create a personal profile, most of the information in your profile will be personal information. You will be able to use privacy settings to control who can access different categories of your personal information.
If you create a business profile, only some information will be personal information. You will also be able to use settings to control who can access different categories of information.

Staying Anonymous

You can browse this website anonymously. However, if you would like to take advantage of our services, you will need to identify yourself to us and at that point we will collect your personal information.

Collection of Personal Information

iCompLii will collect your personal information directly from you via our online platform. We may also collect information (like a business card) at industry events for the purpose of sending you more information about iCompLii services. Information may be collected for business profiles, for example the name of the managing director, directly from publically available sources.
iCompLii services are comprehensive. You are able to add a great deal of information to your profile including personal contact details, business contact details, emergency contacts, certifications, qualifications and work experience, referrals, resumes, medical certificates and so on. We collect that information so that you can make the best possible use of the services iCompLii provides.
If you are not establishing a profile, the information we collect from you will most likely be limited to your name and contact details, similar to what you would include on a business card. If you connect with us via social media, we will have access to the information you have made available to us according to your privacy settings for that platform.
We will only collect personal information from other sources with your authority.

Collecting Sensitive Personal Information

Sensitive personal information includes information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or criminal history.
As part of creating your profile, you will be offered the opportunity to provide some sensitive personal information to us; for example, health information. The purpose of collecting this information is to save you time when applying to get onsite, or start work with a new employer. We will not request more information that an employer would reasonably request.
All of the information added to your profile is protected using our security protocols.
Our data and website hosting is provided by The System Works Group (TSWG). We chose TSWG because their systems give us the same level of encryption and protection as banks use, and they host all data in Australia.
Sensitive personal information is only collected from individuals when they include it in their own profile.

Authorisation from Individual Users

One of the main benefits of this website to the industry is the ability to certify or verify qualifications, licences, certificates or similar documents (qualifications) so that you can get on site without delay. To verify or certify your qualifications we need your consent and authorisation to:

  • contact each of the providers of your qualifications
  • release your relevant personal information to providers of your qualification
  • obtain relevant personal information from each provider of your qualifications
We will ask you to confirm your authorisation annually while you remain a user of iCompLii services.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

We may use your personal information to send you updates about our products or services and news from time to time. If you do not wish to receive any marketing or promotional information from iCompLii, you will be able to unsubscribe or change your user settings so that you stop receiving that information.
For users with an individual profile, you will be offered options to verify and certify the personal information you have added to your profile. When you select one of those options, we will contact third party providers and share that part of your personal information necessary to verify or certify your personal information.
When you create a profile you are allocated a unique identification number and you will be asked to set a PIN (personal identification number). Your PIN is different from your login details. Your PIN will allow you to share information from your profile with sites and companies at the click of a button.
iCompLii will not give out your unique identification number or PIN to any person or entity without your express written authority to do so.
You will be able to use your profile settings to determine what level of personal information you wish to share with other users of iCompLii services.
Where a business provides contact details for an individual as part of the business profile, we will make those details available through the iCompLii website as part of the business profile.
